USDA South Building Reference Center will reopen April 27

April 25, 2005 - The National Agricultural Library (NAL) will reopen its South Building Reference Center in Room 1052-S on Wednesday, April 27, 2005.

REE Under Secretary Joseph Jen, ARS Administrator Edward Knipling, and NAL Director Peter Young will cut the ribbon at 10:00 AM. All USDA employees are invited to participate in the ribbon-cutting, share in the brief festivities, and get acquainted with the agricultural information products and services available in the new space.

Beginning Wednesday, the Reference Center will be open for walk-in assistance from 8:30 a.m to 4:30 p.m., weekdays. You may contact Reference Center staff by telephone at (202)720-3434, or via e-mail.

The National Agricultural Library's Web site is an online gateway to NAL services. The AGRICOLA bibliographic database also provides access to a range of agricultural information resources.

DigiTop , the Digital Desktop Library for USDA, provides access to full-text journals, databases, newspapers, statistics, reference material, and other vital agricultural information.
