Negatives taken or acquired by the Bureau of Human Nutrition and Home Economics showing Calorimeter Labs used in 1904; respiration chambers; bicycles; food driers; baking and cooking contests; children eating; house cleaning; food experiments; household appliances; devices used in controlling and recording temperatures; different types of foods; meat laboratories; meat judging; textile labs; turkey preparation; and equipment used in investigating food. Also included is a photograph of the Food Habits Conference held on April 17, 1926; the Executive Committee; a Camp Fire Girls Group; Benjamin Henry Latrobethe British-American Architect who helped rebuild the Capitol after the fire; Miss Bevies the founder of the Modern Meat Cookery; Sir Lyon Playfair and other persons associated with the Bureau. Most of the photographs were used in the Agriculture Research Journals in the early 1900's. There a few corresponding prints.
