    • Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry
    • The aim of this study was to determine the toxicokinetic characteristics of ZEN and its modified forms, α-zearalenol (α-ZEL), β-zearalenol (β-ZEL), zearalenone-14-glucoside (ZEN14G), and zearalenone-14-sulfate (ZEN14S), including presystemic and systemic hydrolysis in pigs. Crossover pig trials were performed by means of intravenous and oral administration of ZEN and its modified forms.

  14. [ASAP] Ochratoxin A Exposure Impairs Porcine Granulosa Cell Growth via the PI3K/AKT Signaling Pathway

    • Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry
    • The mycotoxin ochratoxin A (OTA), a naturally occurring food contaminant, has a toxic effect on the growth and development of follicles in pigs. However, little is known regarding the specific toxic effects of OTA exposure on oocytes and granulosa cells (GCs). In this study, we cultured porcine ovarian GCs and exposed them to OTA in vitro in order to explore the mechanism causing the negative effects.
