  7. Monitoring and dietary risk assessment of pesticide residues in brinjal, capsicum, tomato, and cucurbits grown in Northern and Western regions of India

    • The present study monitored pesticide residues in 2319 samples of fruiting vegetables namely, tomato (416), capsicum (363), brinjal (448), and cucurbits (1,092) grown in the Northern and Western regions of India. The samples were extracted using QuEChERS method and analyzed for the residues of 155 multi–class pesticides by gas chromatography–mass spectrometry and/or liquid chromatography–tandem mass spectrometry.

  8. Simultaneous determination of pesticide residues in pomegranate whole fruit and arils using LC-MS/MS

    • An analytical method in pomegranate whole fruits and arils was developed in LC-MS/MS and validated as per SANTE/12682/2019. Samples were extracted following acetonitrile-based modified QuEChERS protocol. The method was linear and the coefficient of determination ranged between 0.998 to 0.999. Through this method, all the pesticides were detected and quantified at 10 µg kg-1.

  9. Construction of a magnetic solid-phase extraction method for the analysis of azole pesticides residue in medicinal plants

    • In this work, a sensitive and cost-effective method for the quantitative analysis of azole pesticides residues in six medicinal plants was established based on magnetic cyclodextrin crosslinked with tetrafluoroterephthalonitrile (Fe3O4@TFN-CDPs) coupled with high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). Through characterization analysis, the outer shell of Fe3O4@TFN-CDPs has observed coating with a network of the polymer and forming a core–shell structure.

Of these 104 pesticides were recovered.

  22. Rapid determination and dietary intake risk assessment of 249 pesticide residues in Panax notoginseng

    • UPLC-MS/MS and GC-MS/MS were used to establish a method to simultaneously determine various pesticide residues in Panax notoginseng. Results showed that the limits of detection of 249 pesticides were all 5–10 μg/kg. The detection rate of pesticides in 121 P. notoginseng samples was 93.39%, and 19 pesticides were detected.

  23. Method validation, residue and risk assessment of 260 pesticides in some leafy vegetables using liquid chromatography coupled to tandem mass spectrometry

    • In the present study, QuEChERS method was optimized and validated for determination of 260 pesticides by liquid chromatography–tandem mass spectrometry (LC–MS/MS). The method had a suitable linearity (R2 ≥ 0.99). Limit of detection (LOD) and limit of quantification (LOQ) were ranged from 0.56 to 2.99 µg kg−1 and 1.88 to 9.99 µg kg−1 respectively. Average recoveries varied from 71.14% to 118.83%.

  24. Determination of Synthetic Pyrethroids and Hexaconazole Residues in curry leaves and decontamination through household techniques

  25. Multi-Residual Determination of Multi-Class Pesticides in Groundwater by Direct Immersion Solid-Phase Microextraction with Gas Chromatography-Selected Ion Monitoring Mass Spectrometry (GC–MS/SIM) Detection

    • This paper describes a simple, quick, and solvent-free multi-residue method to determine 90 pesticides in groundwater samples from 30 different chemical groups. The extraction was carried out by solid-phase microextraction in direct immersion mode (DI-SPME) using a polydimethylsiloxane/divinylbenzene fiber (65 µm thickness) followed by GC–MS detection.
