  9. [ASAP] Click Reaction-Mediated T2 Immunosensor for Ultrasensitive Detection of Pesticide Residues via Brush-like Nanostructure-Triggered Coordination Chemistry

    • Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry
    • We develop an ultrasensitive T2-mediated immunosensor based on the coordination chemistry and Cu(I)-catalyzed 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition of azide andalkyne (CuAAC) and apply it for the detection of pesticide residues. We functionalize polyglutamic acid (PGA) on polystyrene to form a brush-like nanostructure that has a large loading capacity of Cu(II) through the coordination chemistry between PGA and Cu(II).

    • Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry
    • With the monitoring of hundreds of pesticides in food and feed, the comminution step is equally crucial as any other to achieve valid results. However, sample processing is often underestimated in its importance and practical difficulty to produce consistent test portions for analysis.

  24. Lead exposure and mortality among U.S. workers in a surveillance program: Results from 10 additional years of follow-up

    • Environmental Research
    • Publication date: October 2019

      Environmental Research, Volume 177

      Author(s): Vaughn Barry, Kyle Steenland

      Abstract
      Background

A cohort of male lead-exposed workers with past blood lead levels, previously followed for mortality over 12 years, has now been followed for an additional 10 years. This has doubled the number of deaths and allowed for examination of mortality outcomes across a wide range of blood lead levels.
