  1. Analysis of 207 residual pesticides in hot pepper powder using LC–MS/MS

    • This study investigated the determination of 207 pesticides in hot pepper powder and found patterns of pesticide use by production from five regions, detecting a total of 50 pesticides. The LOD, LOQ and recoveries of pesticides were 0.08–2.53, 0.25–7.60 μg kg−1, and 81.0–132.1%, respectively. The Horrat values ranged from 0.07 to 1.97. A total of 50 residual pesticides were detected in 963 hot pepper powder samples.

  6. Preparation of carboxymethyl chitosan/double-formaldehyde cellulose based hydrogel loaded with ginger essential oil nanoemulsion for meat preservation

  12. Active pullulan-based coatings incorporated with Auricularia auricular extracts for preserving potato fresh-cuts

    • In the present study, Auricularia auricular polysaccharides (AAP) and Auricularia auricular proteins (AAPR) obtained from the waste products of Auricularia auricular were incorporated into pullulan (PUL) to obtain active packaging films/coatings.   13. Determination of 57 pesticide residues in fishery products by GC tandem mass spectrometry combined with QuEChERS (quick, easy, cheap, effective, rugged, and safe) extraction

    • An analytical method using GC–MS/MS combined with quick, easy, cheap, effective, rugged, and safe extraction was developed to determine 57 pesticides in fishery products. The limits of detection and quantification (LOD and LOQ, respectively) of the analytical method ranged between 0.91 and 2.12 ng/g wet mass and 3 and 7 ng/g wet mass, respectively. Moreover, the linearity of the calibration curves was acceptable (R2 > 0.99).

  14. Effect of the storage temperature on the quality of eggs inoculated with Salmonella Enteritidis onto shell

    • This study explored the temperature-dependent effect on the growth characteristics of Salmonella Enteritidis (SE) on eggshell toward identifying an appropriate storage temperature for unwashed eggs in an actual distribution environment.   15. Evaluation of long- and short-term storage conditions and efficiency of a novel microencapsulated Salmonella phage cocktail for controlling Salmonella in chicken meat

  21. Comparison of chitosan and gelatin-based films and application to antimicrobial coatings enriched with grapefruit seed extract for cherry tomato preservation

  24. Anti-biofilm effects of sinomenine against Staphylococcus aureus
