ADVANCING POULTRY SCIENCE: ESTABLISHING A STATE-OF-THE-ART BROILER FACILITY FOR RESEARCH, EDUCATION, AND INDUSTRY COLLABORATION AT TENNESSEE STATE UNIVERSITY

Objective

The proposed new broiler facility will be of tremendous importance in enabling TSU to enhance food and agricultural science research infrastructure and capacity. It will be used primarily to fulfill two purposes: i) To conduct feeding studies (with commercial and backyard poultry breeds) that advance poultry science knowledge and ii) To enable hands-on teaching demonstrations for our students, including those in our Poultry Production and Management class, and for the other stakeholders we serve.
