(AH) Identification of immunodominant mimotopes of Campylobacter hepaticus from a phage display peptide library

The overarching goal of the proposed study is to minimize the losses to the table egg industry due to C. hepaticus-associated Spotty Liver Disease (SLD) through vaccination. To achieve this goal, we have formulated the following three objectives:1. Identify immunodominant mimitopes by screening the phage display library with hyperimmune sera raised against C. hepaticus2. Creation of recombinant mimotope-expressing E. coli3. Assess the efficacy of the selected mimotope/s against a challenge of C. hepaticus
