Objective
This project will serve as an umbrella for several segments. The project will determine variation in microbial numbers in apples, juice and bi-products from different sources, varieties, and quality (dropped vs. tree-picked). Subsequent projects will determine the effects of specific control measures to exclude or eliminate potential pathogens from the final juice product.
