Application of Real-time PCR to Increase Microbial Food Safety of Fresh Produce

To develop a DNA isolation protocol for microbial food safety surveillance suitable for real time PCR methods.

Efficacy of FTA filters will be evaluated for DNA extraction from producesamples and compared with the standard protocols. Analyses of the doseresponse relationship in the real-time PCR assays will be performed to compare different protocols.
