APPLYING MACHINE LEARNING MODELS TO PREDICT COTTONSEED ADHESIVES SHEAR STRENGTH AND WOOD FAILURE ON PLYWOOD HARDWOOD VENEERS.

Objective

The primary objective of this study will be to develop a new generation of adhesives from cottonseed. The specific objects are as follows:a) Manufacturing cottonseed adhesives as a usable mixture.b) Testing the adhesive properties under different pressing times.c) Investigate shear strength following the American Society for Testing and Materials protocol.d) Leveraging multi-layer perceptron artificial neural network to predict shear strength.e) Using deep learning techniques to segment wood failure.
