ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE FOR GREENER LIVESTOCK: EDUCATIONAL AND RESEARCH

This proposal has three main goals:Multidiscipline Joint-research objectives to promote greener livestock:Providing atime effective, low cost, more precise and environmentally friendly methods to estimate methane production from ruminantanimals.Developing an accurate computer vision (CV)and deep learning (DL)real-time solutions for animal nutrition researchto automate the measurement of methane emissions.Conducting educational activities:Developing education materials that promoteartificial Intelligence(AI) development skills to the animal sciences students (AS)Providing trainingto AS on the advances of the AI in the field of animal nutrition.Disseminating future technologies to food and agriculture societies (e.g., livestock)Providing livestock producers with techniques to manage their farms in more sustainable way.Sharing the results of the project proposal with the scientific community interestedin greener livestock management.
