1. Leverage our current efforts to collect backyard eggs focused on areas affected by fires. This willinclude detailed surveys of multiple geographical and non-geographical variables.2. Measure additional metal and persistant organic pollutants(POP)concentrations from already collected eggs in addition to soil andwater.3. Develop risk mapsto understand the relationshipbetween chemical contaminant load of backyard eggs and spatial risk factors (e.g. proximity to fire including), non-spatial risk factors (e.g. homes painted with lead-based paints).
