The Biotechnology Education Program, a joint project of the University of Wisconsin-Extension and of the UW-Madison Biotechnology Center, works to provide information, insight and analysis to assist people in making personal choices, as well public policies, about biotechnology. Late in 1995 the UW Biotechnology Center will move into a new building, which includes an Education Invention Space Lab for developing teaching materials and an Outreach Teaching Lab for hands-on workshops. This project will support program expansion through campus and community workshops, and through the development of new educational materials.
