Breeding Corn for Resistance to Aflatoxin Contamination

Objective

Objectives are (1) to develop and advance corn breeding lines with resistance to aflatoxin accumulation and (2) to evaluate experimental corn hybrids for resistance to aflatoxin accumulation and other desirable agronomic characteristics. The results of this research will help to commercialize corn hybrids with resistance to aflatoxin accumulation in the grain.
