Colorado Food Safety and Quality Education Program

The Colorado FSQ team proposes to improve the ability of members of the food system to make informed, responsible decisions by building on four model programs developed in previous years. These include: the Safety and Food Excellence training program for food service workers; the Food Safety Advisor program, which uses volunteers to extend the outreach of county extension educators; the Creating Informed Citizens curriculum for middle school teachers; and the Sheep Quality Assurance program for sheep processors. The team will also develop a reader for the Ag. In the Classroom project and a training video for food service workers.
