A CONFERENCE PROPOSAL: ALL THINGS BOVINE LEUKEMIA VIRUS (BLV)

The international All Things BLV Conference will strive to be a welcoming and collaborative gathering place for sharing ideas, discussing successes, challenges, and needs while providing career development, mentorship, and training to early career individuals and students. The conference will gather researchers, extension specialists, producers, and veterinarians to address the pressing issues of bovine leukosis and drive advancements in research and control efforts. We aim to stimulate interest, foster collaborations, and promote awareness and knowledge surrounding BLV. The first half of the conference will focus on scientific advancements in the field and the second half of the conference will allow those with direct experiences with management of BLV (producers and veterinarians) to share their experiences with the community. We will end the conference with a tour and lunch at a local BLV-conscious farm! This program will be submitted for American Association of Veterinary State Board RACE approval (but is not yet approved) for 8 hours of continuing education credit in jurisdictions which recognize RACE approval and for American Registry of Professional Animal Scientists (ARPAS) credits.
