Objective

1. Use RNA-seq of lines containing mapped resistance traits to characterize resistance loci, characterize defense networks and generate candidate polymorphisms for marker development. 2. Characterize candidate resistance genes using virus induced gene silencing and or CRISPR/cas9 gene editing technology.
