Objective

The specific objectives of this project are as follows:1) Determine the mechanism(s) allowing mutated DAHPS to increase levels of Phe andPhe-derived compounds;2) Assess the capacity of mutations in DAPHS to elevate levels of Phe and Phe-derivedphytochemicals in tomato;3) Further elucidate metabolic bottlenecks within the Phe biosynthetic network.
