DERIVATIZATION OF GOSSYPOL FOR VALUE-ADDED UTILIZATION

Objective

The objectives of this research collaboration are to make chemical modification to gossypol in order to improve gossypol detection, to further our understanding of gossypol's physical properties and to find products with improved biological activity related to gossypol's anti-cancer, anti-fungal, and anti-insecticidal properties.
