DETECTING THE SOURCE OF FECAL POLLUTION IN THE TILLAMOOK WATERSHED WITH NEW MOLECULAR METHOD

Objective

Survey the Tillamook Bay, Oregon, watershed for fecal pollution by sampling rivers and the bay at regular intervals and through storms. Determine the source of fecal pollution in polluted samples, and perform statistical analyses to search for temporal and spatial patterns of variation. Use the resulting information in education and mitigation.
