DEVELOPING AND VALIDATING MARKERS OF TUBER SKIN-SET DURING PERIDERM MATURATION

Objective

The objective of this cooperative research project is to develop biological markers for the processes that are responsible for and/or regulate susceptibility and the development of resistance to skinning injury in potato tubers. To partially characterize the process of skin-set development by determining the specificity of these markers in the initiation, development and completion of skin-set.
