"The objectives of the contract resulting from the present procurement procedure are as follows:
1. identifying general and specific GM plants risk assessment needs with respect to sampling
2. identifying scientifically recognised sampling strategies and evaluating their applicability to generation of representative data for GM plants risk assessment
3. developing and verifying reliable sampling methods (based on specific experimental and/or simulation work and the information collected under 1 and 2) for the collection of test materials necessary for various aspects of GM plants risk assessment:
— molecular characterisation
— comparative assessment of agronomic and phenotypic characteristics
— comparative assessment of compositional data
— toxicological and nutritional safety assessment
— allergenicity safety assessment."
