DEVELOPMENT OF A DAIRY MANUFACTURING AND PROCESSING SOLUTIONS TOOL FOR FARMS AND VALUE-ADDED PRODUCERS

Atlantic Corporation has proposed two major goals of the project that include: 1) determiningthe optimal equipment and plant configurations requiredto efficiently process--according to processor preferences, raw milk volume, and product profiles; and2) develop and test a prototype version of the web-based, spatial planning tool, "DairyMAPS". The ultimate goal is to generate proportional scale perspective drawings, detailed equipment lists and specifications, and associated costs to build and operate small-scale lines given user preferences, that will be rested forkey stakeholder input.
