Development of a scoping review to consider how to trigger or waiver the TG 305 (bioaccumulation in fish test) for manufactured nanomaterials

Objective

The objective of this project is therefore to undertake the development of a scoping review with the following content:

1. Background of TG 305 and its use in different regulatory frameworks for bioaccumulation assessment of nanomaterials
2. Benefits of being able to trigger or waive TG 305 in terms of animal welfare and potential cost-savings and considering the importance of chemical safety
3. An overview of available tests currently available that could be used to determine if TG 305 can be trigger or waived
4. Evidence of correlations between lower tier tests and TG 305 to ensure results are providing accurate estimates of NM bioaccumulation
5. Working Party on Manufactured Nanomaterials Recommendations will be formulated with next steps in developing tools or guidance to support decision making in triggering or waiving TG 305 for nanomaterials.
