Surveys of University of California faculty involved in food safety issues indicate a strong need for the comprehensive, efficient, and inexpensive dissemination of food safety education and information materials developed in California and throughout the world. To meet this need, a World Wide Web server will be developed which will allow direct access to a comprehensive databse of food safety text and graphics files easily adaptable for individual use. User training and server publicity will be emphasized to maximize the effictiveness of information dissemination.
