Emerging Approaches for Typing, Detection, and Characterization of Escherichia Coli

Specific objectives for the workshop are to: 1) Determine approaches for identification of specfic genetic factors/biomarkers derived from targeted or whole genome sequencing analyses critical for testing; 2) Identify promising technologies for screening food and other types of samples for pathogenic E. coli and approaches for characterization of E. coli, as well as to determine the practicality and applicability of these technologies for routine implementation.
