ENHANCED DELIVERY OF BOVINE PRODUCTION MEDICINE USING CLOUD-BASED TEACHING MODULES

Our goal for this funding is to expand our food animal residency program within the Iowa State University Veterinary Field Services by one veterinarian to provide clinical services and teaching within our program and develop training materials to support attainment of the long-term goal.?The long-term goal of our bovine faculty team is to develop a more extensive set of advanced training materials for bovine focused students and residents which will make them more effective at service delivery to progressive bovine clients.We plan to achieve the above stated goals through the following three objectives:Objective 1. Expand our food animal post-graduate training program through the acquisition of one additional veterinarian.Objective 2. Develop an expanded library of bovine specific training materials for veterinary students and veterinarians in private practice.Objective 3. Develop cloud-based training modules that will allow for distance-based delivery of training materials to veterinary students at other veterinary colleges and to veterinarians in private practices.
