ENHANCING ARS ALFALFA RESEARCH

Objective

Enhance ongoing research in alfalfa within ARS, by either expanding current capabilities or exploring new areas of research dealing with alfalfa. Acceptable research includes basic biology of the alfalfa plant, enhancing the ability to manipulate alfalfa genetics to enhance its utility in production systems, monitoring and modeling alfalfa production as a component of a systems approach to livestock production, or exploration of agronomic methods to enhance the productivity of alfalfa in farm systems.
