Objective

To evaluate the influence of soil and manure characteristics on nitrogen mineralization and emissions in irrigated croplands. This will include field and laboratory research to assess nitrogen mineralization with varying manure and soil characteristics and assess gaseous losses of nitrogen in western semi-arid soils receiving dairy manure and fertilizers
