EXAMINING FARM FINANCING AND RISK MANAGEMENT STRATEGIES IN NEW MEXICO

This project mainly aims to identify challenges and opportunities in the New Mexico agricultural sector under contemporary economic scenarios. In particular, this project will examine and recommend farm financing and risk management strategies evaluating existing banking regulation, trade agreements, farm support programs, and farm risk management programs. The project will examine all these strategies with a major focus on existing agricultural supply and demand distortions due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
