Develop new instrumental and classical methods to monitor/test foods - drugs/cosmetics for potential hazards. Methods will use known biomarkers, chemical compounds or proteins specific for the contaminant (e.g., coprostanol for fecal contamination; peanut or mite protein as allergens in foods).
