FACT: Interdisciplinary Undergraduate Training in Modern Agriculture and Food Safety Through Research, Education and Extension Experience

The overarching goal of the proposed REEU project entitled'Interdisciplinary Undergraduate Training in Modern Agriculture and Food Safety throughResearch Education and Extension Experience' is to increase the interests of younger generationtowards agri-science careers by exposing them to state of the art tools and technologiesemployed in modern agriculture and food industry, thereby encouraging them to work in the ag industry,state ag agencies, commodity groups or pursuegraduate education (M.S. or Ph.D.) inagriculture-related disciplines.The REEU project will provide interdisciplinary research, educationand extension opportunities for75 fellows over a period of 5 years, who will be mentored by facultyfrom 8 departments or centers.
