A small scale field test is designed to determine whether the yeast strain can survive and inhibit A. flavus growth in the field environment. This research may be thought of as a `proof of concept? application. The basic objectives for this pilot study are to find out how persistent the yeast is in the open environment and whether it produces significant reduction in A. flavus levels when compared with the untreated control.
