Food Handler Educational Training for Consumers and Youth in Poultry Areas

Food handler education and training for consumers and youth in the poultry area is aimed at providing youth and adults (youth-K-12th grade and adult including teachers of K-12th grade, Agriculture Science teachers, 4-H adult volunteers and small flock poultry owners) an appreciation of food safety issues in poultry from "Farm to Table." Partnership in food safety education will be used along with other teaching methods for total quality management practices. Youth will be taught quality assurance. Adults and youth will be trained in food safety issues in home processing of poultry.
