This project uses a train-the-trainer model to provide food handler education to high-risk and hard-to-reach audiences, by developing consumer education programming for pregnant adolescents and adults, parents of infants and children, and preschoolers themselves. The food safety program will target individuals with limited resources through the EFNEP and FNP programs as well as other at-risk audiences. Through this program, participants will gain knowledge that will enable them to take informed steps to change their behaviors related to food safety.
