The Oklahoma State University project will expand two existing components, each focusing on a different aspect of food handling as it relates to food safety. "Food Safety Training for School Food Service Employees" will utilize training provided to county staff in 1995 to decrease the risk of food-borne illness for children and others who participate in school nutrition programs. The "Food Processors Conference" is an annual event in Oklahoma which allows participants continued exposure to new food safety information over a period of years.The sixth annual conference will be improved with the additional funding provided.
