The food service industry is in need of workers trained in safe food handling procedures. The goals of this project are: <OL> <LI> To develop and pilot a model food safety education certificate training program for welfare-to-work participants in selected areas of Colorado,Wyoming and Montana. <LI> To evaluate the efficacy of the program in improving food safety knowledge, attitudes and behaviors among participants,as well as the economic viability of the program as a job training effort.
