Genome sequence for Listeria Monocytogenes Scott 4B

Objective

To generate a complete genome sequence and plasmids for Listeria monocytogenes Scott A strain, serotype 4b.
<p>
A Certified Listeria monocytogenes Scott A strain, serotype 4b will be obtained through the Public Health Services Laboratory, US (PHLS) Master Culture Collection. iochemical, morphological, and molecular confirmation
of the strain will be conducted before submission to TIGR. This strain will be used to develop a complete annotated genome sequence, i.e., orf's, rDNA, tRNA etc, genome feastures and repeats as in a Genbank submission, linear
genome representation and metabolic map (e.g. as described for Vibrio cholera in Nature 406: 477, 2000). This will be accomplished in two Phases: Phase I completion of 8x coverage; Phase II closure of the genome sequence, annotation and analysis.
