This proposal requests funds to provide HACCP training for food processors and food service operators. Training will reach various audiences and will increase understanding and adoption of appropriate food handling practices within various types of food manufacturing and food service operations.
In collaboration with several agencies and associations, a multi-disciplinary faculty team will develop the training program. In a second component, existing Safe Food for Children video tapes will be translated and revoiced in Spanish, to increase adoption of safe food handling practices in child care facilities with Spanish-speaking clientele.
