Objective

1.To assess the impact of addition of animal manures,and cover crops to horticultural based alley cropping systems on soil organic carbon sequestration and greenhouse gas fluxes.2. To evaluate the impact of cover crops and animal manures on soil physical and fertility properties.3. Measure water quality parameters under Horticultural based alley cropping systems4. Conduct studies onbiomass development, yield, and residue decomposition of annual and perennialcropsin a horticulture based agroforestry system.5. To measure pecan tree morphological and anatomical quality factors
