Hyperspectral Microscope Imaging for Early Detection of Quality and Safety Assurance in Agricultural Products

<p>The goal of this project is to determine if the quality or safety of agricultural products can be assessed with hyperspectral microscope imaging. The specific objectives are to 1) evaluate the optical properties of the primary physical and chemical components that negatively impact the quality or safety of agricultural products; 2) analyze the spectral features from 1 with hyperspectral microscope imaging; and 3) develop chemometric models for screening those agricultural products for diminished quality or safety.</p>
