Identification and Characterization of Resistance to Fusarium Head Blight in Wheat and its Relatives

Objective

(1) a) Introgress FHB resistance QTL from common wheat into adapted durum wheat backgrounds; b) Develop durum germplasm with improved resistance to FHB; and c) Determine the effect of D-genome chromosomes on FHB resistance in durum. (2) Find more effective and diversified sources of resistance to manage this disease.
