Objective

The IRC will address adoption of FSMA in five key refugee and immigrant small holder farmer communities through a participatory, community-based approach:Identify needs, barriers, knowledge gaps, assets and motivations among diverse small-scale immigrant farmer communitiesImprove access to and quality of food safety education and resources among diverse, small-scale, resource-poor immigrant farmer communitiesIncrease local capacity among immigrant farmer communities to identify and address challenges and increase the local capacity with technical assistance and extension providers to support the needs of immigrant farmer communitiesImprove food-safe practices among small-scale immigrant farmers
