IMPACT OF CLIMATE EXTREMES ON SPECIES RANGE: CAN SMART AGRICULTURE BENEFIT MINORITY GROWERS TO FIGHT CHALLENGES OF INVASIVE INSECT PESTS?

Objective

The long-term goal of this project by the International Association of Black Entomologists (IABE) is to promote the adoption of smart agricultural strategies to empower minority growers with the information and tools they need to adapt successfully to climate extremes and the challenges posed by invasive insect pests. Specifically, this proposal will bring together established and early career professionals to cross-pollinate information that will propel or position minority agriculture researchers for future collaborations in the field of pest management in US agriculture.
