IMPROVE FOOD SAFETY AND QUALITY USING NOVEL NANOMATERIALS

The aims of this study are to develop SERS methods coupled with various SERS-active substrates to detect chemical contaminants (pesticides and illegal substances) and biological contaminants (bacteria, virus) in food and water products; fabricate nanosensors coupled with efficient extraction and separation methods to detect food contaminants; develop novel nanosubstrates and nanostructures using organic and inorganic materials for food quality and safety applications; investigate the factors affecting 3D printing and post-processing capacity of foods.
