The objective is to provide a forum wherein food-based nanotechnology research can be discussed in terms of research needs, societal and environmental impacts, definitions, and potential product development.
Non-Technical Summary: The application of nanotechnology to the production of food will be discussed. The purpose is to bring researchers together to discuss the state of the art. <P> Approach: A two-day meeting to be held in conjunction with the IFT Annual Meeting in Orlando, FL. The current USDA/NRI grantees in the area of nonotechnology will present progress reports.
