Objective

1. Identify gastrointestinal parasites (i.e. nematodes Haemonchus contortus and Ostratagia osteratagi)in feces of Goergia White Tail Deer that may be transmitted to beef cattle in shared environments.2. Determine prevalence of Bovine Viral Diarrhea in Georgia WTD which may infect beef cattle through shared environs/parasites via ELISA testing of blood-serum/ear notches.3. Determine prevalence of Anaplasmosis in Georgia WTD that may be transmitted to beef cattle or humans through shared environs/parasites through microscopic exam of prepared blood smears.
