Consumers are concerned about the safety of their food and often misunderstand its production, processing and preparation. Food Safety information is best received when presented through a variety of venues and in conjunction with other programs. This project will develop educational materials, including displays and media releases, to explain food safety risks and procedures that safeguard the food supply.
Materials will be designed for individual components to be used as parts of other programs when interest is high. Recipients will increase their understanding of food production,processing and distribution and will improve their decision-making related to food safety.
