Lenticel Breakdown (LB) continues to plague numerous growers and warehouses within the state. Although much has been learned and improvements made to harvest, storage and packing procedures, research is needed to investigate: 1) preharvest aggravants and potential field-applied treatments to reduce susceptibility and/or expression in storage and 2)nature of postharvest symptom development and storage protocol modifications to reduce LB expression.
